The Sunset Ride to the Beach began with 37 bicyclists and a lovely leisurely ride through the mad traffic of the South of Market. We had a couple of precarious lane changes to get onto Hayes Street, but we didn't lose a single rider. A couple of shy folks opted out of attempting the Hayes Street Hill, but the rest of us successfully made the climb. The ride concluded with a downhill glide through foggy Golden Gate Park, where we picked up a rider or two. Some then went to the Beach Chalet while others opted for beer on the beach.

The nicest part was at the end, where we actually did see a real sunset, fog and all! Thanks to everyone who came on the ride; I hope you had fun!
